Rest Easy, LaughingMan.Whether you were really let off by your own means or others unmentioned, I was really dissapointed to hear this. From what I was told and what you have done for the community, I couldn't believe it until guildmates directed me towards some posts.
Since you took the time out of your life to get to know us, it's only right that I share some of that with the community too.
Hello, my LaTale character is Shizerin, but my real name is Bernadette. While I jump around in a male avatar, I am actually a 22 year old female. I abuse the cursing filter every 10 seconds, I like to do anything but grind, and you have probably seen me and my friend's names come up umpteen-million times in help desk tickets because of shenanigans (bless the souls of who take care of those, you must have been head-desking a lot).
We never tried to get in trouble so the mods would yell at us, it's just how me and my friends bond in this game 8D We're like your 'special-ed' children; goddamn they're ridiculous, but you have to love them because we're your kids in the end. <3
I gave up LaTale for several months a whiles back to get back into other mmorpgs (like WoW again, and Aion), but I fell short and they weren't cutting it. I went back to my roots and just began to draw a lot more again, watch anime, read manga, nerd with friends, draw porn, whatever. Anything but playing games!
But I realized I left a lot of people that still cared about me, which is why I came back. They want to hang, pvpdog, do stupid things like abusing tents and following people around with dome-hats. I still love them to bits.
You were the guy that I wish was a player that was there to chill with and be silly. Having that kind of impact on a community (instead of the blind 'omggmsuckup' love), ultimately made not just me, but the rest of us like you. It didn't matter how good you were at your job, or if other GMs were 'better' than you, people liked you because you were real. When I found out you were in the community more than some of us knew, I grit my teeth. I had one of your 'toons buddied, we'd talk about WoW a lot and you'd break my materials every week LOL I thought you were one of the 'played a long time ago and doesn't anymore' fellows that I missed playing with and wish I could have.
So here, have this <3 Also know that you were loved not just for your position in the game, but also for your flaws. I know you risked a lot to make this community more bearable, inside and out, and I will remember you for that. Time to become one of those deaf-mutes, eh?
I'm not sure if this is appropriate to post, delete if you have to, but it's something I'm sure many people wanted to say and do, not just myself.
